Assuming your income falls between $45k to $135k per year. The estimated Tax rate is 30% for each $1 over $45k (Reference).

For example, you pay $ 499.00 + GST for a plan; your estimated tax benefit is $165. Your actual out-of-pocket cost would be $384, and your air conditioning repair coverage is kept unchanged ($1000/yr).
